Nestled within the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa First Nations (pronounced ‘K-too-nah-ha’) in BC’s Kootenay region, our natural hot springs have long been deemed good medicine for the body, mind and soul. For thousands of years the Ktunaxa embraced the nupika wu’u, or hot mineral waters, for their healing and rejuvenating powers.
Today the property is 100% owned by the Yaqan Nukiy People also known as Lower Kootenay Band of Creston, BC. The purchase in 2015 returned this important site to its traditional stewards, and we bring a unique First Nations identity to this popular destination. Authentic Indigenous art is showcased throughout the property. Imagine waking up in the comfort of your well-appointed guest room, knowing a relaxing soak in warm mineral water is only steps away! We welcome you to book a stay in our new Yaqan Nukiy Suites, built in a style and décor that honour the history and traditions of the Yaqan Nukiy People. Indulge with a massage at the Spirit Water Spa to infuse natural healing and relaxation into your stay.
The Ktunaxa Grill features fresh locally sourced ingredients prepared in a fusion of flavours with Indigenous elements. Our Executive Chef and talented team are happy to share their passion for food with classic and innovative techniques; try specialities such as Saskatoon Berry Cured steelhead and Free-Run Elk Escalope.
We continue to strive for excellence and look forward to making your hot springs experience like no other.
