Essipit Innu territory is located on the north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence near the picturesque village of Tadoussac. Jimmy Lake Outfitter is adjacent to the Innu Essipit Nation, an engaging community that loves sharing its Cultural knowledge and respect for the land.
“What we have to offer at Jimmy Lakes Outfitter is quite simple — time and stillness, two rare commodities nowadays,” says Jeannine Villeneuve, Communications and PR Director at Essipit Holiday. Comprised of a collection of lodges, campgrounds, cottages, and condo-hotel units in the Côte-du-Nord region, Essipit Holiday provides visitors with access to an unspoiled territory of land and lakes that are known for spectacular vistas, authentic Innu trout fishing and wildlife viewing.
Jimmy Lakes Outfitter offers eight lakeside cottages and 32 cozy riverfront condo units that accommodate families and friends who want to get away from their urban routines. While some guests opt to simply reconnect with nature and soak up the solitude, others choose more active experiences such as sea kayaking or whale watching, a must for visitors to Quebec’s Côte-du-Nord

Innu is much more than a language — it is a singular way of experiencing the world. Visitors to this region have opportunities to connect deeply with nature. “Time stops and I can see our guests slowing down and being transformed by our serene environment,” says Villeneuve, who has been working with Essipit for 26 years. “That’s what I love most about my job, and why I’ve been working here for so long.”
