Established in Tofino in 1991, the House of Himwitsa Native Art Gallery is owned and operated by members of the First Nations, specializing in Native artwork, First Nations carvings, First Nations jewellery, and traditional First Nations weaving by various talented and recognized local artists. Himwitsa means “The passing of knowledge from the elders to the young” in the Nuu-Chah-Nulth language.
