Take a deep dive into the Indigenous world with non-profit Kina8at-Together. Founded by hereditary anicinape Chief Dominique (T8aminik) Rankin and Marie-Josée Tardif, Kina8at’s activities are guided by teachings which date back thousands of years. Whether you dream of a canoeing adventure, crave a relaxing getaway, or you’re seeking a deeper connection through a transformative experience immersed in indigenous cultures, join us at the Centre Kina8at surrounded by forest on the shores of a lake, just a stone’s throw from Mont-Tremblant. Experience indigenous cultures through different workshops and immersive getaways; learn basic forest survival skills; bake traditional bread; experience the sacred pipe ceremony; sing and drum and receive the teachings of the animals. Join a workshop to learn traditional arts such as beading and moccasin making; give yourself the gift of regeneration and transformation on a four-day silent retreat in the forest; learn the vigil of the sacred fire; take part in the extraordinary Matato ritual (sweat lodge), guided by Grand-father T8aminik. Everything we do at Kina8at-Together is based on authenticity, reconciliation, and celebrating the joy of life; join us for an adventure in French, English, Anicinape, Atikamekw or Cree. We also offer a range of training programs inspired by First Nations’ philosophy and traditions focusing on consciousness-raising and healing.
