The Manito Ahbee Festival is an annual celebration of Indigenous, Métis and Inuit Cultures in Winnipeg. For the past fifteen years, our festival has brought together performers and audiences from around the world in a unique experience which celebrates the beauty of Indigenous music, art and Traditions from Turtle Island.
Over the years our festival has given a powerful stage to showcase the vibrancy of Powwow dancers and singers and contemporary Indigenous, Métis and Inuit music. We also host a spectacular Indigenous Marketplace and Tradeshow for visitors to browse unique Indigenous art and artisan creations and have offered learning experiences for youth. This year to reflect our changing environment in 2020, the Manito Ahbee Festival will take a virtual form, pivoting to an online festival space that will bring Indigenous voices, art and performances into homes and communities worldwide.
We welcome you, from every nation, to join the circle of our heritage. Enjoy the sights, sounds and majesty from the safety of your home until we can share our festival with you in person in 2021. Our Elders teach us that we are all related: red, black, white and yellow – we are the human medicine wheel.
