Founded by the Honourable Senator Dr. Thelma J. Chalifoux to preserve, promote, protect, and celebrate Alberta’s rich Métis culture, trough leadership and education, Michif Cultural Connections provides programs, facilitates workshops, and exhibits Métis museum artifacts at the historic Juneau House in St. Albert, Alberta.
Taught by Elders and Knowledge Keepers, sign up for an inspirational and fun workshop with Michif Cultural Connections and learn traditional Métis crafts. From learning the intricate skills of finger weaving, how to create stunning beaded moccasins and muttluks, and jewelry workshops, to high-energy jigging classes, traditional medicine teachings and smudging workshops, you’ll find something for all ages, interests, and abilities.
