Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, on Manitoulin Island and in Killarney, Ontario, is home to the Anishinaabek people of the Three Fires Confederacy, an alliance of Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi nations. Located on Manitoulin Island’s eastern peninsula, Wiikwemkoong has land, water, and historic attractions to transform and excite you.

Wikwemikong Tourism offers authentic Indigenous experiences that reflect the Anishinaabek lifestyles and traditions. We welcome you into our rich history through our nature based and culturally significant tourism experiences. Our local Anishinaabe Cultural Guides take you on meaningful journeys through time. You learn the legends of our people while exploring the lands and waters of Wiikwemkoong.

You can embark on a guided hike on the Bebamikawe Memorial Trail with scenic lookouts across the Georgian Bay coastline. The stories we share as we hike together will engage your imagination. Choose from three culinary experiences and you might even forage for some of the natural ingredients used in your selected choice. Seasonal plants, combined with wild game, fish, and teas will refresh and replenish you. Traditional Anishinaabek food is prepared in an outdoor kitchen, over open fire at the newly constructed Outdoor Culinary Space. You will enjoy hands-on pre-colonial cooking experiences led by our Anishinaabe guides in authentic traditional ways.

You might paddle the night skies, explore what lies beneath the surface of the pristine waters of Georgian Bay, or travel through time in our Unceded Journey, a transformational tour of the true history of Manitoulin Island.

As Manitoulin Island’s largest First Nation and an officially recognized Unceded Territory, we look forward to greeting you
