Founded in 1974, the Centre for Indigenous Theatre is the only school of its kind in Canada training future Indigenous artists. We offer Indigenous actors, playwrights, directors and creatives three and four-year full-time conservatory-style, post-secondary professional training that prioritizes Indigenous Culture; foregrounding the Indigenous theatre canon and prioritizing Indigenous knowledge, Culture, language, values and practices with the goal of expanding excellence in Indigenous theatre across Canada and beyond.
