The creation of Samaria Cardinal, a proud citizen of the Métis Nation of Alberta; Samaria’s ancestry is Métis, Blackfoot and Jewish/Norwegian/Scottish, Mystical Metis is on a mission is to build bridges between cultures by welcoming visitors to explore Indigenous ways through art and conversation.

Samaria’s store has become a place of community and education, where visitors can receive referrals and have a safe place to shop. Besides being the owner of Mystical Metis, Samaria also works alongside Patients for Patient Safety Canada and the Mental Health Commission of Canada. A renowned public speaker and mental health advocate and campaigner, Samaria is a popular booking at events and conferences, where she speaks about her life experiences, mental health, addictions, and her perspectives on being Indigenous.
