Come for the culture, stay to connect, and leave with stories that will warm your heart. Welcome to the traditional territory of the nehiyaw (Cree) people, where the land whispers and the spirits of ancestors weave their wisdom into every step. At Pêmiska Tourism, guests are invited to walk in the footsteps of the Cree people and immerse themselves in traditions that have endured for generations.
Guests can immerse themselves in an authentic experience by choosing between newly built tipi lodges, or the traditional tipi village for a stay under the starlit sky. The lodges sleep up to 5 people and feature all of the amenities you will need for a cozy stay. This includes a kitchenette, barbeque for summer nights and a fireplace for cooler nights. The lodges and tipis are located in the heart of Treaty 6 at Fort Carlton Provincial Park – just 45 minutes north of Saskatoon!
During your visit, guests can make bannock over an open fire and hear stories shared by community members, offering insights into the nehiyaw way of life. Each experience is designed to be not only fun and educational but also filled with joy, laughter, and lasting memories.
At Pêmiska Tourism, it’s not just about a visit—it’s about building a meaningful connection with the land, the people, and the culture. Guests will leave with an unforgettable experience that stays with them, and a smile that lingers long after their journey home.
