As you arrive through the 100-acre forest surrounding Tsa-Kwa-Luten you’ll know right away that you’re staying somewhere special. Our secluded—yet accessible—location exudes a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Tsa-Kwa-Luten is more than an idyllic setting for a great gathering; it is a magical place where legends live. A land of dark swirling tidal pools, soaring mountains and lush evergreen forests, home to eagles, ospreys and orcas. Tsa-Kwa-Luten is an island retreat designed to renew your soul. Tsa-Kwa-Luten means ‘gathering place’ in the Kwak’wala language, join us in our Grand Hall to experience a traditionally warm ‘Gila Kasla’ welcome from our team. Our Gyukw-dzee ‘Big House’ has been designed with authentic Pacific Coastal Indigenous architecture using carefully selected Douglas firs, to create a perspective of space and warmth. Our 80-seat dining room and lounge area with panoramic views of Discovery Passage and the Coastal Mountains awaits your visit. Our main lodge accommodation features gas fireplaces or jacuzzi tubs, and all guest rooms and private beachfront cottages have deluxe ocean views of Discovery Passage and the mountains of Vancouver Island. We also offer ocean-view full-service RV sites. From check-in to farewell we’re here to make sure your stay is enjoyable; relax on one of our decks, enjoy browsing Indigenous artisan’s creations in the gift shop, or enjoy a peaceful stroll along one of the many historical trails.
